Well maybe not, he might resign. Well thats about the only situation I can think of that would prevent him from being fired and lets face it he and Kevin Lowe are good friends and I’m sure Lowe will give him the opportunity to resign rather than being fired. After the Oilers defeated the Vancouver Canucks on CBC tonight Kevin Lowe was on after hours and he did all kinds of talking about MacT’s professionalism and great attitude through these tough times but not once did he say that MacT would be here next year. I know Katz sent that text message that MacT is not going anywhere but don’t worry he only cares about the now and thought he could take some pressure off the team.

MacT definitely will not be with the team next season, I wonder if Klowe will be there?

What scares me the most is that the Oilers will replace the coach with another x-Oilers wannabe coach who will once again lead the team to mediocrity.  I mean lets go guys, we need an NHL caliber coach behind the bench to lead this team into the playoffs and beyond, somebody like Marc Crawford who has won the Stanley cup as a coach.
