WE WON WE WON!
Its about time, I was really starting to worry.
The Oilers are now in 7th place in the Western conference as they have defeated the St. Louis Blues 2-1 in a shootout. Roli basically put the team on his back and carried them back into a playoff position.
Game Notes:
As mentioned above Dwayne Roloson was spectacular, he made some big stops late in the game and in the ot period and then stopped all 3 in the shootout.
Sam Gagner had been playing great lately but I didn’t think he brought the same competitiveness tonight.
The best forward tonight was by far Patrick O’Sullivan, he created chances, shot the puck, played well defensively, and won battles. I think we may have finally found a line worthy of the number 1, I just hope MacT keeps them together for more than a game.
The best blue liner tonight had to have been Visnovsky… oh wait… hes injured. Who was that guy? It was Denis Grebeshkov thats who, he was absolutely amazing. Best game I’ve ever seen him play.
Props to Robert Nilsson who continues to play physical.
