Oilers Lose….. Again
I could write about how the Oilers have just lost for the fourth time in five games (3 times against teams below them in the standings) but that would be really depressing so lets see if I can put some positive spin on this.
The Oilers have recorded points in 4 straight games.
Patrick O’Sullivan has scored his first goal as an Oiler and loves to play in Edmonton.
Sam Gagner, Robert Nilsson and Andrew Cogliano are playing like they did in last years stretch drive, and if they continue the Oilers will make the playoffs.
The Oilers scored a power play goal.
Dustin Penner defended Ales Hemsky and had his first fight in 500 years.
Marty Reasoner scored his 200th point…. oh wait that’s not a good thing. nm
Maybe the most positive thing I can say about the Oilers right now is that all of the teams they are battling with to make the playoffs are playing just as inconsistently as them. They are in seventh right now and playing .500 hockey may be enough to make the playoffs.

P.S It may be time to give Roli a break.
